Airbus suffered major delays to its A380 superjumbo program, which caused its parent-company, EADS, large financial losses in 2007.

That’s fine. However, it would behoove EADS/Airbus to recognize the fact that the size of their proposed refueling tanker would necessitate the expansion and expensive rebuilding of airstrips worldwide, and that if their proposals aren’t practical, they may be cast upon the ash-heap of history.
